HOOKSETT - Sullivan L. Hassan, 84, formerly of Hooksett, died Aug. 14, 2014, after a period of declining health.He was born in Manchester on Jan. 30, 1930, the son of Hussein and Eva (Simard) Hassan. He was educated locally and enlisted in the U.S. Air Force after high school.Sullivan served 20 years in the U.S. Air Force and earned the rank of technical sergeant prior to his honorable discharge in 1968. He had most recently worked as the bookstore manager at the N.H. Technical College in Manchester.He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, the Hooksettites, and a communicant of Holy Rosary Parish in Hooksett for many years.Sully has gone home now to be with his Lord and enter into the arms of God.Family members include his wife of 42 years Bevely-Rae (Hewitt) Hassan of Bedford; her son, Ray Hewitt of Manchester; two sisters, Alice Lapointe of Florida and Elizabeth "Betty" Bobo of Ohio; two half-sisters, Ella and Diane Currier, both of Manchester.He was predeceased by his stepmother, Mary Hassan and sister Dorothy Cohn.

SERVICES: There are no calling hours. A committal service with military honors accorded by the U.S. Air Force will be Monday at 2 p.m. at the N.H.
