DENNIS P SNYDER 10/12/1939 - 9/17/2013 Dennis P. Snyder passed on September 17, 2013, with family by his side. Dennis was born in Lockport, NY. and proudly served 22 years in the United States Marine Corps, retiring as a Master Sergeant. Dennis was wounded in action on 1 September 1967, while serving in the Vietnam Campaign and received his purple heart medal, as well as many other medals of honor during his dedicated career. Dennis also served several tours in Okinawa away from his family (Semper Fidelis!) Later Dennis went on to work 27+ years for the federal government at the Marine Base in Barstow, CA and retired in 2006 as a Material Expeditor. Dennis leaves behind his wife Patricia, married 44 years, and their four children: Keith Snyder, Bob Antoszewski, Cheryl Cox and Dennis J. Snyder, along with ten grand children and seven great-grand children. Dennis is also survived by his brother Donald and his loving sister-in-law Judy. Dennis' family want to thank the entire staff at Sterling Commons in Victorville for giving their daily kindness and care, and to Charter Hospice during the past six months for their devoted attention to Dennis' final quality of life. Sept. 30, 2013, at 11:15 am Dennis will receive full military honors at the Riverside National Cemetery in Riverside, CA. A celebration of Dennis' life will be held later that day.
