EUGENIO SORIA MANZANO 09/6/1929 - 5/1/2013 Eugenio Soria Manzano, 83, entered Eternal Life on Wednesday May 1, 2013. He was born to the late Anastacia and Antonio Manzano in Santa Fe, Marcelino, Zambales, Philippines, September 6, 1929. He was married to Maria Almero on March 5, 1949 for 64 years. Eugenio earned an Associates of Science degree from Long Beach Community College in 1978. He relocated his family from the Philippines to Long Beach, California in 1968. He and his wife relocated from Long Beach to Hesperia in 1988. Eugenio served the United States Army from 1946-1948. He enlisted in the United States Navy in 1956. He fought courageously in World War II, The Korean War and the Vietnam War. He became a United States citizen in 1968. He achieved the rank of Chief Petty Officer and retired from the Navy in 1973. After retirement, Eugenio would practice a career in Realty. Eugenio was a respected elder of Apple Valley All Nations Seventh Day Adventist Church. He was a devout servant to Christ. He enjoyed cultivating his garden. He spent his entire life loving his family. Eugenio's undying love remains with his wife, Maria, five children, Evangeline, Orlando, Daniel, Samuel, and Almero. His legacy is survived by 15 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. He is reunited with his eldest son in Heaven, Eugenio Manzano II. A viewing will be held at 4-8 pm Tuesday at Desert View Memorial Home. Burial will be held at 10 am-Noon Wednesday at Desert View Memorial Cemetery.
