FRANK DAVIS BOYD 12/14/1932-6/10/2014 Beloved husband, father, brother and uncle Frank Davis Boyd, 81, was called home to the Lord on June 9, 2014. Born December 14, 1932 in Quezon City, Philippines to parents Mercedes (Davis) and James Boyd, he would serve in the United States Air Force for 23 years that spanned both the Korean and Vietnam Wars. In 1959 he married the love of his life, Pierrette Watsky, and they settled in Apple Valley, California. After retiring from the military, Frank became a successful general contractor. He was active with both the Apple Valley Unified School District and the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department. After suffering a major stroke 13 years ago, he resided in VA facilities in San Diego and Barstow. Frank is survived by his wife Pierrette, sister Mercedes Zilliacus, son Charles, nieces Anna Greenwell, Lisa Matthews, Lori Matthews, and Anne Costa, and nephews Bradley Greenwell, Mark Matthews, and Joe Costa. He was preceded in death by his son Frank. A 3 p.m. viewing will precede funeral services at 5 p.m. on Tuesday, June 17 at Sunset Hills Memorial Park and Mortuary, 24000 Waalew Rd., Apple Valley, CA 92307.
