GEORGE JACKSON George Jackson was born in Omaha, Nebraska in 1926 where he lived until he joined the Marines during World War II and then served in the Korean War. He was discharged in California September 1950 where he has lived with his family until his death. George was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend. He is survived by his Wife Betty Jackson, His Daughter Geri Saulino and her husband Tom Saulino, and Son Bill Jackson. Grandchildren Shane Saulino, Susan Jackson and Bobbie Garris and Great Grandchildren Ava Jackson, Demi and Brittany Garris. Brothers Harold Jackson and Don Jackson. He was owner of Modern Display in Los Angeles and Renfro-Franklin Company in Baldwin Park. His family time was very important to him. Playing golf with his brothers and friends. Many road trips to Omaha by car and then by Motorhome. He loved to travel and see the US. He was a long time member of the VFW, Elks, and Lucky 13 Camping Club. The family requests in lieu of flowers a donation be made to the Cancer Foundation. George will be laid to rest at Sunset Hills Memorial Park on July 25, 2014. Viewing from 10am to 11am and a Graveside service at 11am. 24000 Waalew Road, Apple Valley, Ca. 92307. 760-247-0155 Celebration of Life to follow at daughter Geri's house.
