JASON "JAY" RICHARD BARTELL 7/24/1972 - 10/2/2013 Jason "Jay" Richard Bartell passed from earth into heaven on October 2, 2013 at UCLA Ronald Reagan Medical Center. He had been fighting Leukemia since September 2012. He received a stem cell transplant in February, 2013 and was in remission. His death was sudden and unexpected. He was born July 24, 1972 in Waukegan, Illinois. He spent most of his life in the High Desert, but moved to Fontana in 2010. He graduated from Victor Valley Christian School in 1990. He received his Associate's Degree in Liberal Arts from Victor Valley College. Jay married the love of his life, Andrea Garson Aguilar, on April 8, 2011. Jay did modeling and acting work in commercials for Mentos, Timex and Mercedes, and appeared on an episode of Beverly Hills, 90210. His passion was remodeling homes and businesses with beautiful custom tile, granite and flooring all over Southern California and Nevada. He worked for Inland Empire Hyundai in Loma Linda from 2011-2012. He also sang in many bands and loved performing for a live audience. In the last 2 years he had become passionate about collecting treasures from Estate Sales and hoped to open his own Antique Mall. Jay was full of life and positive, even throughout his cancer treatments. He loved his dogs, Spaz and Annie. Jay left a lasting impression on everyone, and he will remain in our hearts forever. He is survived by his wife Andrea Bartell, his mother Priscilla (George) Vincent, biological father Richard John Bartell, step-father Richard Dale Walkup, Aunt Beverly Bartell Herman, sisters Melissa (James) George and Vanessa (Sergio) Banuelos, step-brother Shawn Walkup, brother by choice Michael (Samantha) Lillard, nieces Priscilla and Alisan Banuelos, nephews Skyler Vail and Nicholas Banuelos, father and mother-in-law Gabriel and Margaret Aguilar, brother-in-law Thomas (Sahara) Aguilar, nieces Chloe and Clarissa Aguilar. He was preceded in death by brother-in-law Michael John billings and his nephew Michael John Billings Jr. A Sunset Celebration of his Life will be held on Wednesday, October 9, 2013 at Sunset Hills Memorial Park at 24000 Waalew Road in Apple Valley, California. A Buffet Reception will be between 4:00-5:00 pm prior to the Memorial Service.
