MELVIN ELLSWORTH TREXLER 1/30/1932 - 1/19/2014 "Melvin & Belva Trexler Together Again" Today, Jan 19, 2014, we celebrate the life of our dear father, grandfather, uncle, brother and beloved friend, Melvin Ellsworth Trexler, born Jan 30, 1932, who has passed from this life into the next and now joins the love of his life, his wife, Belva Irene Thomas. Melvin grew up in Washington State; served in the Navy from 1952-1956 during the Korean War and ended up serving as a sharp-shooter during the war because of the great hunting skills he developed as a young man. He married his sweetheart, Belva and together had four wonderful children. Melvin was also a skilled heavy equipment operator and avid hunter. He volunteered in many organizations, the Boy Scouts, the community paramedics and military. He was also a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and volunteered in many capacities. He always had a smile on his face and had a big heart for children and animals. He was greatly loved and will greatly be missed. He was preceded in death by his wife of almost 54 years, Belva; his parents, Gary & Irene and a brother, Gordon. He is survived by his children, Danny (Lynda), Melinda (Dan), Glenndel, Timothy (Holly), a brother, Elden (Judy), his sister Donna Thomas and many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held in Barstow, CA, Saturday, January 25 at the LDS church located at 2571 Barstow Rd., 10:00am with a viewing from 9-10:00am.
