PHILIP DAVID MAURICE 9/24/1944 - 6/08/2013 Philip went home to be with Lord Jesus on June 8th, 2013 and reunited with parents Walter and Celita, sister Nacy and son David. Philip was born in Los Angeles and graduated from Glendora High. He served the Army during the Vietnam War and earned several honors including "sharp shooter". He also worked as a rancher, a cabinet maker and a stone mason before settling into a career as a semi-truck driver where he retired with the rare honor of being "accident free". Philip enjoyed camping and fishing; he also loved making Gumbo for family and friends and sharing it with others at local fairs. Philip loved watching westerns, listening to country music and Louis Lamour books. He enjoyed gardening and growing his own fruits and veggies and his hobbies included playing cards, cooking, playing pool, and home improvements. He especially loved long walks and quiet evenings with his loving wife Sharon. Philip is survived by his wife Sharon, children Jay and Rosa and spouses John and Misti, step- children Chris, Edward and Roxanna and spouses Ron, Sue and Cherie, nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren, brothers Walter and Mike, sisters Edna and Susie and extended family and friends. A Memorial Service will be held Friday, June 14th, 2013 at 11am at Victor Valley Memorial Park, 15609 11th St., Victorville.
