George Silva, Jr., 31 of Harlingen, TX passed away on Saturday, July 19, 2014.
George was a police officer for the San Benito Police Department, employed by the United States Border Patrol, and currently working as a U.S. Customs Agent at the Anzalduas Bridge and was a cross fit trainer.
He is survived by his wife Crystal Garcia; his parents Lorena Silva and George (Elena) Silva, Sr.; his sister Lyssa (Eric Lopez) Silva; a nephew Elliott Lopez; a grandmother Josie Mowery; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and a host of friends. Most especially he is survived by his faithful canine friend Pete aka "Boy".
Visitation will be held at 9:00am-9:00pm, Wednesday, July 23, 2014 in the Rudy Garza Funeral Home Chapel of Peace with a prayer service to be held at 7:00pm.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00am, Thursday, July 24, 2014 at Avondale Baptist Church with burial to follow at Ashland Memorial Park.
Serving as pallbearers will be Javier Ruiz, Jr., Tony Ruiz, David Ortega, Rick Orozco, Eric Lopez, Gino Valdez and Steve Garcia.
Arrangements are under the direction of Rudy Garza Funeral Home in Harlingen.
