Jesus Roberto "Beto" Caballero
HARLINGEN, TX. --
Jesus Roberto "Beto" Caballero age 37, went home to be with his Lord Jesus on October 7, 2013 at Brooks Army Medical Center in San Antonio.
"Beto" was born February 21, 1976 in Austin, Texas to Raul D. and Maria E. Caballero. He was a lifetime resident of Harlingen, attended Harlingen Public Schools, and graduated from Harlingen High School Class of 1994, where he played soccer for the Harlingen Cardinals. Beto also attended and graduated from TSTC with an Associates Degree. He served his country in the United States Navy aboard the USS George Washington during Operation Desert Storm. His passions were hunting, fishing, riding his motorcycle, and most especially playing and spending time with his children. He was currently employed at the Bass Pro Shop. He will always be remembered by his beautiful smile and be dearly missed by all.
Beto is survived by his loving family, children, Alaena Nichole Caballero and Jesus Roberto Caballero, Jr.; parents, Raul D. and Maria E. Caballero; brothers, David (Erica) Caballero and Ricardo (Bekah) Caballero; sister, Linda (Tony) Silvestro; 7 nephews, Eric Caballero, David Caballero Jr., Elijah Caballero, Elian Caballero, A.J. Silvestro, Noah Silves-tro, and Elijah Amaro; 2 nieces, Angela Caballero and Isabella Silvestro; maternal grandfather, and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Visitation will be held today, October 10, 2013 from 1pm-9pm with a holy rosary to be prayed at 7pm at Trinity Funeral Chapel.
Funeral services will be held Friday, October 11, 2013 at 10am at Trinity Funeral Chapel with Chaplain Joe Perez officiating.
Interment will follow to Heavenly Grace Memorial Park Cemetery in La Feria with full military honors under the auspices of American Legion Post 205 and VFW Post 2410.
Honored to serve as pallbearers will be David Caballero, Ricardo Caballbero, Tony Silvestro, Daniel Arredondo, Jose G. Lopez, Cesar Perez, Rollie Gonzalez and David Cordero.
Honorary pallbearers will be his nephews.
There will be a gathering honoring Beto immediately following the burial at Primera Community Center.
