JOHN FINDLAY September 25,1920 - March 3, 2013 passed away March 3, 2013 on a sunny Sunday at the age of 92 after a lengthy battle with Alzheimer's. Predeceased by his wife, Patricia, in 2000 as well as his sister Edith and brother Jim. Hector will be lovingly remembered by his son Brian (Leanne) and grandson Josef as well as nieces and nephews in Canada and the U.S. Hector served in WWII in the airforce. After his service he obtained his teaching degree and taught in the Vancouver School District at Vancouver Technical and later Eric Hamber as an Industrial Education teacher. As well, he was a member of the Masonic Order. The family would like to thank the staff at George Derby Centre for their care and compassion over the last five plus years especially the staff of Special Care East - you will never be forgotten. No service by request. If friends wish to make a donation in Hector's name to the George Derby Centre or the CNIB in memory it would be gratefully appreciated.
