Jeremy Edmund Nelson Hepner January 2, 1964 - April 7, 2013 Jeremy Nelson Edmund Hepner, beloved son of Patricia Rolston Hepner and the late Dr. Lee Hepner, passed away peacefully in Vancouver on Sunday, April 7th, surrounded by his family. He is survived by his sons Harrison and Sebastian and their mother Karina, his mother Patricia Rolston, brother Darcy and his wife Astrid, Dr. Thomas Brown, cousin Shauna Rolston and many relatives and friends. He began his musical studies at Mohawk College in Hamilton, Ontario followed by a Bachelors degree in music from the University of British Columbia. He achieved his Masters in Jazz Studies from New York University and recently had taken time out to complete a Ph.D in music education at Columbia University in New York City. Jeremy was a professional guitarist and an award winning high school teacher at Cambie, MacMath and Steveston High Schools in Richmond, BC. His love of music was an integral part of his life.
