William Cran 1945-2013 William "Bill" Roger Cran, age 68, of Vancouver, BC passed away on August 8, 2013 at Purdy Pavilion, UBC Hospital after a battle with degenerative lung disease.
The Guest Book is expired.
Bill was born in Vancouver on March 20, 1945. He was the second child to the late William Thomas Cran & Mary Ellen Cran. Bill is survived by his younger brother Robert (Bob) Cran, nieces Debbie & Jordan and nephews Ed & Ryan.
A Navy veteran, Bill fondly recalled his days on the HMCS Yukon, a Mackenzie class destroyer. Bill enjoyed Sunday outings to the airport to watch the air traffic. A long time member of the Greater Vancouver Motorcycle Club, Bill toured western North America on his Honda Goldwing. But Bill's favorite place was the Lahaina Shores resort on Maui. He visited many times but never realized his dream of retirement in Hawaii.
A private family memorial will take place at a later date.
Special thanks to the doctors, nurses & staff at both VGH & UBC who took good care of Bill over the last 7 1/2 months. Your efforts allowed him to pass with dignity. A special note of thanks to Gay & family for their regular visits.
