Guillermo "Willie" Landeros, 52, Camarillo, CA passed away on Monday, February 17, 2014.

Willie was born to Lupe and Flavio Landeros on June 14, 1961. Willie was a 1979 graduate of Camarillo High School. He was a Lead Construction Tech with Southern California Gas Company for twenty five years. His greatest passion was his daughter Jayna. Where ever they went many would comment about the special bond between this father and daughter team. Whether at home watching their shows, or riding the coasters at Magic Mountain, the two were inseparable.

He was a devoted husband to his wife Nancy, or as he affectionately called her, "Cheddar". Willie was a devoted basketball fan. He will be remembered by so many for his love of the sport. For over twenty years he was an inspirational coach and mentor. For over forty years he was a fierce competitive player on the court. As a young boy he would practice for hours and hours until he perfected his ball handling and shooting. He continued to play into adulthood, playing hard and almost always making his shot. When not on the court, he enjoyed watching the game, especially his beloved UCLA Bruins.

He was preceded in death by his younger brother Jaime. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife Nancy and his pride and joy, his daughter Jayna; parents Lupe and Flavio Landeros; siblings Martha (Jimmy), Flavio (Sophie), and Sandra (Mike); and many nieces and nephews. Willie also leaves behind many friends, especially his Gas Company family. They became an extension of his own family, many becoming like brothers and sons to him.

A celebration of Willie's life will be held on Saturday, March 8, 2014 at Camarillo Christian Church, 1777 Arneill Road, Camarillo beginning at noon. A reception will be held immediately after. Join us to remember Willie, wear your favorite basketball attire, preferably UCLA or Lakers. Please sign Willie's online memorial at
