Charles William (Bill) Lane Charles William (Bill) Lane, 83, our loving and kind father, Papa and great Papa Moose peacefully went to be with the Lord in Heaven on March 28, 2013. He was born on March 10, 1930 in Muskogee, Oklahoma to Everett and Martha Lane. He served in the United States Marine Corps as sergeant where he was very proud to fight for his country in the Korean war. He was wounded and received the purple heart award. He was employed by the Visalia Unified School District as an auto mechanics teacher for many years. Bill is survived by his brother James Lane; sister Mary Goens; children: Charles Lane Jr., Elizabeth Lane, Charlene Ford, Cynthia McClain and Daniel Luke; twelve grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren. He loved camping and fishing and traveling to visit his family and friends; but he mostly loved being with his family. He will truly be missed by all who know and love him. The family welcomes friends and relatives to celebrate his life with a viewing from 9:30-11:00 a.m. and then a memorial service at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, April 5, 2013, at Millers Memorial Chapel, 1120 Goshen Ave., Visalia, CA.
