Edward Lee Howell Edward Lee Howell, a Three Rivers resident, was born on January 4, 1937 in Visalia, CA to Raymond and Pearl Lee Howell. Surrounded by his family, Edward went home to be with the Lord on March 10, 2014 at the age of 77. A Mount Whitney High School graduate Edward served in the Air Force from 1955 to 1959. Edward worked at the Central Valley Christian School for 10 years, retiring in 2000. He loved wood working, including creating his own wood working tools having a passion for violin making and had an instrument repair business until 2012. He had been a member of Foothill Bible Church in Elderwood, CA, enjoyed teaching others how to make violins and giving presentations at schools. He had a feature article in the Visalia Times Delta on violin making. Edward is survived by his son Tim Howell and his wife Cindy of Three Rivers, Daughter Deborah Cline and husband Dan of Mokelumne Hill, CA, Brother Alfred Howell and wife Madelyn of Boise, ID; four grandchildren, Alexandra Mendek of Pacific Grove, CA, Rocco Mendek of Santa Maria, CA, Taylor Moore and husband Andrew of Sacramento, CA, and Michael Howell of Three Rivers; Cousin David Bayless of Denver, CO; Good friend Carla Treuting, Three Rivers; and former wife of 40 years, Ruth Anglemyer, Visalia, CA. Graveside services will be held at the Three Rivers Cemetery at 10:30 A.M. on Friday March 14, 2014.
