Jim and Sheila moved the family to Visalia, CA in 1974 and Jim began his medical practice at the Visalia Medical Clinic. At the time of his death, Jim was "semi-" retired, still practicing part-time at the Visalia Medical Clinic and seeing patients at the County Health clinics in Visalia and Exeter. In addition to his great love of practicing medicine and helping patients, Jim was passionate in his support of the Fighting Irish of Notre Dame. He could always be counted on for updates and anecdotes about Irish football. Many a Saturday from August to November were spent anxiously watching his beloved team.
