Michael Lopez Michael "Mike" Lopez, 74, of Visalia, passed away on Friday, August 1st, 2014. Mike was born on September 29, 1939 in Hanford, CA to Rafael Lopez and Alvina Del Real. Mike was an avid golfer. He is a member and past President of the Mexican American Golf Association (MAGA). He was a dedicated fan of the Los Angeles/St. Louis Rams, Los Angeles Dodgers, Los Angeles Lakers, and, of course, the Chivas soccer team. Mike worked for Southern California Edison before he retired after 30 years of service. Mike also served with pride, dedication, and honor in the United States Marine Corps. Above all, Mike was a loving and devoted husband to his wife of 55 years, Sophie. He was a wonderful loving father to his children, Ralph, Janet, Jack and Greg Lopez. He was the best grandfather to Ryan Anders. Mike also leaves behind daughters & son-in-laws Becky Lopez (Ralph), Jill Cary-Lopez (Jack), Ed Villalobos (Janet), and granddaughter-in-law Natalie Anders (Ryan). Mike is also survived by his brother Sunday (Mary) Angel, and sisters Mary Lou Lopez, Susan (Tony) Antonovich, Pauline Renner, and Pam (Bill) Elletson. Mike also leaves behind numerous relatives and great friends. Following cremation at Farewell Funeral Service, a private interment will be held at Bakersfield National Cemetery.
