Patsy J. Christensen Teacher Our beloved Patsy went to be with the Lord on March 10, 2014, at the age of 82. She was born on July 4th 1931 in Cole Oklahoma. At a young age her family moved to California where her father worked in the Kettleman Hills oil fields. They later settled in Tulare, CA., where Patsy graduated from Tulare Union High School in 1950. Her family then moved to Modesto, CA., where she attended Modesto Junior College for one year. The following year the family returned to Tulare. Patsy then attended the College of the Sequoias in Visalia. There she met Lyle Christensen. After a lengthy courtship they married in June of 1955. Patsy and Lyle moved to the Los Angeles area where Lyle completed his last year of pharmacy college. Patsy taught school and they began their family. They had their first child, Mark. They then moved to Selma, CA., where Lyle worked as a pharmacist. The family grew and Randy, Steven and Nancy were born. Three years after the move to Selma, Pats y and Lyle purchased the old McCracken's Pharmacy in Dinuba. It was soon renamed Lyle's Pharmacy. They moved their family to Dinuba two years later. They resided in Dinuba for 30 years and in 1990 Patsy and Lyle moved to Visalia. The retirement years were spent enjoying life here and abroad. Patsy loved to travel and meet new people. She made many lifelong friends. Patsy loved music, the symphony, interesting and beautiful places and she found pleasure in some of the simplest things like a drive to the mountains or a walk in the park. She enjoyed painting, oils and water colors. She read daily and was a dedicated Christian. She is and will be greatly missed! Patsy is survived by her husband Lyle. They would have celebrated 59 years of marriage in June. She is also survived by her four children: Son, Mark Christensen, wife Karen and children Holly and Troy, of Fresno, CA.; Son, Randy Christensen of Barstow, CA.; Son, Steven Christensen of Citris Heights, CA., and her daughter Nancy Holland, husband Randon, and son Michael, of Coarsegold, CA.; her uncle Jess Easley and cousins Phil and Larry Thomas. Patsy's only brother, Moris Easley, preceded her in death but Patsy led him to the Lord before he passed. Patsy loved to share this message that she had printed on cards, "If We Meet and You Forget Me, You Have Lost Nothing. But If You Meet JESUS CHRIST and Forget Him You Have Lost Everything." See John 3:16. God Bless You All. A Celebration of Life will be held at 10:30 AM on April 26, 2014 at Salser and Dillard Funeral Chapel. Private burial.
