Sam Flores Samuel Elias Flores left this world Saturday, February 22, 2014, from Mesa, Arizona. He was born February 20, 1959, in Visalia, California. Sam was the son of Mrs. Margaret Felipa Basoco Flores and Mr. Ambrosio L. Flores (a.k.a. Pee Wee Flores) of Visalia. Sam graduated from Redwood High School in 1978. He was a member of and a volunteer driver of the Sunday Bus for The First Southern Baptist Church, which was located in North Visalia. In 1979, he had a brief enlistment in the United States Marine Corps until his Medical Discharge due to a training injury. Sam moved to Anaheim, California, for employment. On July 3, 1991 he married Cindy Stack of Fountain Valley, California. Sam and Cindy settled in Mesa, Arizona. He was employed by the Mesa Arizona School District for many years. He worked on and drove Mesa District School Buses. Sam, also was employed by a private tour company as a licensed chauffeur and tour bus driver. Sam is survived by his wife, Cindy Flores; step-daughters, Jennifer Jones and Stephanie Rosales; son-in-law, Paul Rosales and step-grandson, Tyler Jones. He is also survived by his parents Mr. and Mrs. Ambrosio Flores Sr.; his older brother, Ambrosio Flores Jr.; his younger sister, Sara Flores and brother-in-law, Darrell Watson, sisters-in-laws Liz Flores and Caroline Villanueva Garcia; along with many nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts and cousins and other loving extended family members. Sam will be joining his older brother, Nick Flores, who preceded him to the peaceful and tranquil life of Heaven. Memorial services are pending.
