John James McLean, Jr. formerly of Waltham John James (Jay) McLean, Jr. of Los Angeles, CA, passed away May 25, 2014 at the LA Veterans Hospital in CA. of heart disease after a brief time on hospice. Born July 27, 1929 in Boston, the son of the late John J. and late Margaret F. (O'Leary) McLean. Raised in Waltham, John was a 1947 graduate of Waltham High School, and attended the Univ. of Chicago. John served for 4 years with the U.S. Army Signal Corp at a German radio station during WWII and the Korean Conflict, obtaining the rank of Sgt. He loved golf and became a Golf Pro ending up in California. John leaves a daughter, Colleen, McLean brothers Dennis, Daniel, and Robert, and sisters Anne Keegan and Margaret Tirone, as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was the brother of the late Esther C. Bigelow, and the late Charles A. and Thomas F. McLean. In lieu of traditional services, family and friends are respectfully invited to attend a remembrance mass at St. Anne Church at 10 a.m. on August 3rd, 2014 at 75 King Street, Littleton MA.
