Beverly English Crouch, born August 10, 1943, in Roanoke, Virginia, and died August 25, 2014, at his home in Warrenton, VA after a valiant battle with cancer.
A 1966 graduate of Virginia Polytechnic Institute and veteran of the United States Air Force, he is remembered by those who knew him best for his proud determination to never give up, never be beaten, and "almost" never be wrong. His integrity is rivaled by none.
He was many things: tennis player, champion racquetball player, formidable bridge opponent, captivating dance partner, scurvy cocktail sailor, and in most recent years a dedicated member and sandbagger at his home away from home - Fauquier Springs Country Club.
He was predeceased by his mother, Clonnie Crouch and survived by his wife, Toni; five children, Allison Crouch Coppage, Steven E. Crouch, Susan C. Hume, Jacob P. Mulkey and Michael K. Mulkey; and eight grandchildren.
He will always be celebrated and respected by all who knew him. He will be deeply mourned by his family.
A celebration of life was previously held.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Virginia Tech Athletic Fund, P. O. Box 10307, Blacksburg, VA 24062.
