FORREST ANDREWS  

Loving father, grandfather, engineer and artist, and resident of Bethesda, MD died March 9, 2013. Born March 28, 1923, in Knoxville, TN, he served in the Army during WWII as a radio operator in the Pacific theater. Receiving a B.S. from GWU, he worked as a mechanical engineer for the Navy and the General Services Administration, retiring in 1981. Thereafter he worked as an engineer at the Smithsonian Institution, retiring for a second time at age 88. Predeceased by his wife Ruth. Survived by daughters, Carolyn Hejkal, Agatha and Julia; sons-in-law, Steve Hejkal and Franklin Hoke; and grandchildren, Ben and Forrest Hejkal, Magda and Levi Andrews-Hoke. Services, 10 a.m., March 16, St. John's Church, 6701 Wisconsin Ave., Chevy Chase, MD. Memorial gifts to Samaritan Ministry of Greater Washington.
