HAROLD R. KREISER (Age 87) "Kris"
OKnoxville, TN, died Saturday, July 6, 2013 at UT Medical Center. Mr. Kreiser was a retired Supervisory Landscape Architect with the Naval Facilities Engineering Command, Washington, D.C. He was born October 17, 1925 in Jonestown, PA, the son of Lloyd H. and Stella E. Ditzler Kreiser. Graduating from Jonestown High School in 1943, he subsequently served in the U.S. Navy
aboard the USS Wallace L. Lind DD-703 in the Atlantic Theater. He graduated from Pennsylvania State University with a B.S. degree in Landscape Horticulture, and from Iowa State University with a Master's degree in Landscape Architecture. He was a member of Tau Sigma Delta architecture and allied arts honorary society. Mr. Kreiser was a member of Messiah Lutheran Church and a former member of St. John's Lutheran of Knoxville. He was a member of the Masonic Fraternity and affiliated with lodges in both Alexandria, VA and Knoxville, TN. Mr. Kreiser was a member of Knoxville Chapter 69 Order of the Eastern Star and served as a trustee and as its treasurer for many years. Preceding him in death were his parents and his sister, Myrle Behney of Lebanon, PA. He is survived by his wife, Rose Lee Kreiser; brothers, Clifford R. Kreiser of Harrisburg, PA and Guy W. Kreiser of Alexandria, VA, along with nephews and nieces, and his beloved cats, Rusty and Tee-Kee. The family wishes to thank Dr. Yates, Dr. Crook, Dr. Cox and the staff of the Heart, Lung, Vascular Institute and the staff of the Emergency Department at the UT Medical Center. A memorial service will be held July 12, 2013 at 3 p.m. at Mr. Kreiser's childhood church, Sattazhan Lutheran Church, Jonestown, PA with the Rev. Ted Hummel; visitation will be from 2 to 3 p.m. at the church, with burial to follow the service at the Sattazhan Lutheran Cemetery.
