Of Arlington, Virginia passed away Tuesday, February 4, 2014 at Capital Caring Hospice in Arlington, Virginia. Mrs Currier was born in Weymouth, Massachusetts in 1932 and raised in Braintree, Massachusetts where she attended Thayer Academy. It was at Thayer that she met and later married Terrence Currier. She attended Lesley University and graduated in 1954. In 1955, she travelled to Germany to marry Terrence who was serving in the US Army in Karlsruhe, Germany. She lived in Cambridge and Boston, Massachusetts while her husband completed his studies at Harvard University. In 1956 her first son Jonathan was born, followed by Stephanie in 1959, Liam in 1965 and Juliette in 1969. She was an enormously resourceful mother and wife, managing the major tasks of marriage and motherhood with love and determination as her husband pursued a career as a professional actor. In 1972 she left her beloved city of Boston and moved to Arlington, Virginia where her husband had been invited to become a member of the Arena Stage acting company in Washington, DC. She was a quiet but strong willed person, an avid reader and a superb cook, devoted to Julia Child recipes and her family. She will be sorely missed by family and friends. The family is planning a reunion on Cape Cod in the summer and will fulfill her wish to have her ashes strewn on the beach at Great Island in Wellfleet, MA.
