She majored in Italian at Olivet Nazarene University and attended the University of Illinois. She married Robert in 1950 and spent the first half of their married life as an Army officer's wife, helping raise their children in several US states, Germany, Italy, and Thailand. Her grandchildren will miss her unquestioning love, interest in their adventures, and pride in their accomplishments. Her grown children fondly remember the family's overseas life and frequent family trips. She was proud of her Czech heritage and often told her children of their Stupka and Karel family origins in Czechoslovakia and Cicero, IL. Her hobbies included ballroom dancing, snow skiing, body surfing, and exchanging letters with friends from her family's military postings in Italy and Thailand. Mrs. Price worked for the American military PX system in Bangkok, Thailand; Sears in northern Virginia; and Northern Virginia Community College for 18 years.
