HOLST JONATHAN EDWARD HOLST Jon Holst, 35, of Bristow, Virginia was called home by his Lord and Savior suddenly and unexpectedly on August 6, 2014. He was born in Honolulu Hawaii and, being part of a U.S. Navy family, had the opportunity to move frequently and attended schools in three states. He attended West Springfield High School from 1993-1995, and graduated from Coronado High School in San Diego, CA. Upon graduation, he was presented the most outstanding scholar athlete award. Jon was a proud Hokie alumni graduating from Virginia Tech with a degree in Marketing in 2001. Jon applied his knowledge in several organizations where he was employed, the last one being Dimension Data Systems in Reston, VA. He earned a sterling reputation as an honest, straight forward, and ethical professional who consistently achieved unsurpassed results in sales and as well as client confidence and satisfaction. While in Blacksburg he not only forged lifetime relationships but also met his soulmate and love of his life, Lauren. Jon, and Lauren Powell of Blacksburg, Virginia were married in 2003, have three beautiful children and forged a partnership and bond that many couples can only hope to attain in a lifetime. Jon's life evolved around God and his family. Jon was blessed to have a network of true friends in addition to his supportive immediate and extended families. He was an extraordinarily intelligent man who made a difference, was just fun to be around, and served humanity through God.
