Lawrence Francis LaBarge entered heaven under the compassionate care of the staff at the Hospice of the Piedmont on August 14, 2013. Larry, the son of Leo and Pauline LaBarge, was born on September 15, 1935 in Watertown, NY.
Larry was a Korean War veteran of the U.S. Air Force. After serving in the Air Force, he enjoyed a longtime career as a salesman for Ted Britt Mazda and then retired from Rick Hunt Ford. He was an avid sports fan and, in his younger days, boxed in the New York Golden Gloves. Larry was a devoted fan of the Washington Redskins.
He was preceded in death by his parents; siblings Raymond LaBarge and Eva Emmerich; wife of 47 years Mitsuko LaBarge; daughter Pauline LaBarge; granddaughter Natalie LaBarge; and great-grandson Krystian McPherson. He is survived by his brother Leo LaBarge (Sheryl); children Kim Brown-Garrison (Mike), Danny LaBarge (Marcela), Eva LaBarge (Eddie), Larry LaBarge Jr. (Tracey) and Raymond LaBarge (Barbie); grandchildren Jim, Chris, Jennifer, Justin, Zach, Linsey, Lauren, Larry III, Sarah, Olivia and Jack; great-grandchildren Alexis, Audrey, Kyla and Amaya; and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral mass will be held at Our Lady of Angels in Woodbridge, VA on Tuesday, August 27, 2013 at 11:30 a.m. followed by burial services at Quantico National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions to honor Larry's memory can be made to the Hospice of the Piedmont at
