MARY SCHULMAN PULLMAN, 90, of Boca Raton, FL died Sunday, February 2, 2014 after a brief illness.
A native of Washington, DC, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Sophie Bobrow Schulman. She was the widow of Samuel M. Pullman, who predeceased her in 2000. They were married for 45 years. An earlier marriage to the late Winfield Scott Coles ended in divorce.
She was employed for over 35 years by IBM, first in their card manufacturing plant in Washington, DC and until her retirement at their PC manufacturing plant in Boca Raton, FL, where she and her husband moved from their Oxon Hill, MD home in 1972.
She is survived by her son, Michael Ellis Coles and wife, Lisa, of Boca Raton, FL; granddaughter Jennifer Lynne Coles and her partner, Dayna Morgan, of Lake Worth, FL, and Courtney Anne Coles, Scranton, PA.
In addition, she is survived by her twin sister, Fanny Galifaro, Gainesville, VA; sister Jessie Otten, Poughkeepsie, NY; brother Sidney Schulman, Adelphia, MD; sister-in- law Shirley Pullman Thompson, McLean, VA, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by a daughter, Bonita Ellen Coles; and brother, Hyman Schulman.
Services will be held at National Memorial Cemetery, 7482 Lee Highway, Falls Church, VA 22042 on Tuesday, May 6, 2014, at 11:30 a.m., The Rev. Dr. Susan J. Halse, Middletown (MD) United Methodist Church, officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Florida Brain Cancer 5K Race for the Cure, c/o ABC2, 1717 Rhode Island Ave. NW, Ste. 700, Washington, DC 20036.
