PHYLLIS LILY BRIDGE ZELLER
Passed peacefully on Sunday, November 3, 2013, at the age of 86 in Kensington, MD after a short illness. Born on October 16, 1927 to her beloved parents Otto Frederick Joseph Bridge and Bertha Thelander, she grew up in Sioux City, Iowa. She graduated with a bachelor's degree in Economics from University of Iowa
in 1948 and was a long-standing active member of Kappa Alpha Theta. On September 16, 1948, she married Fred Emory Zeller and they lived in many places on the East coast from New York City to Crossville, Tennessee. After her husband died on June 21, 2001, Phyllis moved to North Carolina and later Kensington, Maryland.
Phyllis was actively involved in multiple civic organizations and charities throughout her life; most importantly, the Girl Scouts of America, where she was a Leader for many years and then became the Financial Manager of the Burlington County Girl Scout Council. She was awarded their Distinguished Service Award.
Always humming a tune, Phyllis loved reading, birds (which she could always identify) and dachshunds, bridge, a strong Manhattan at Happy Hour, a good party, and most importantly being surrounded by her family and friends. Many summers from childhood and later with her own children were spent on the shores of Lake Okoboji in Iowa.

Zeller of New York City, and Jane Zeller (Townson) of Cape Carteret, North Carolina; sons-in-law, Dr. Richard McCarron and John Townson, and grandchildren, Michael, Peter, Andy, Riley, Clay, Cody, Shaela and Kinsey.
