Born in Winchester, New Hampshire on April 16, 1918, Lt Col (Ret) Raymond Andrew Dubriske, age 95, died peacefully at his Arlington home on January 20, 2014. He was preceded in death by his beloved spouse, Peggy, with whom he spent over 60 beautiful years as husband and wife. He is survived by nieces and nephews.
After graduating from the University of Notre Dame, Lt Col Dubriske was commissioned in the U.S. Army in 1942. He served in combat as a logistics officer during World War II, receiving the Bronze Star. After retiring from active duty, Lt Col Dubriske worked as a procurement specialist within the Office of the Secretary of the Army until his second retirement as a civil servant. Lt Col Dubriske spent the remaining years of his professional life as a private business consultant. He also wrote and published a book a condominium management, which is still in print today.
A Mass in celebration of Lt Col Dubriske's life will be held at 10a.m. on Wednesday, February 19, 2014 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Arlington, VA.
