On Saturday, May 18, 2013, Richard Clark Clough died at home from cancer. Beloved husband of 40 years to Karen Hahn Clough; father of Rev. Rick Clough, Jr. and Nancy Lynn Clough, R.N.; grandfather of four and great-grandfather of two. He was preceded in death by his parents Marian and Lyle and grandson Tim Susco.
Born June 13, 1927, Richard served in WWII with the Navy. He graduated from Strayer University with a Master's in accounting and successfully passed the CPA exam. Richard worked for 39 years with the federal government 25 of which were with FAA. Upon retirement Richard began a tax accounting practice which became his passion. He so enjoyed working with his clients. He also had a passion for travel which took him to all the continents. His favorites were China in 1983 and Antarctica in 2000.
Services will be held on Saturday, May 25, 11 a.m. at St Dunstan's Episcopal Church, 5450 Massachusetts Ave., Bethesda, MD. Contributions in Richard's name may be made to Montgomery County Hospice or to the choir fund at St. Dunstan's.
