ROBERT ALAN GRAHAM

beloved husband, brother, father, and grandfather, passed away suddenly on April 26, 2014, at the age of 77.
Bob was born in Long Branch, New Jersey, the second child of George and Nan Graham. He graduated from Princeton University in 1958 with a bachelor's degree in science and engineering. Bob worked within the telecommunications industry his entire career: first as an engineer, supervisor, and manager at New Jersey Bell; then as a vice president for Mountain Bell, and finally as President for Directory Services at Bell Atlantic, a position he held from 1984 until his retirement in 1998. While employed by New Jersey Bell, Bob earned an M.B.A. from Rutgers University. In retirement, Bob continued to enjoy traveling, golf, biking, and spending time with his family.
Bob is survived by his adoring and adored wife of 51 years, Nancy; his daughter, Courtenay Graham, and her two children, Connor and Kayleigh Davies; his son, Kyle Graham, and Kyle's wife, Emmeline; his sister, Betty Howard; and several nieces and nephews. Bob will be fondly remembered for his positive, affable nature. As he requested, services will be private. Contributions in Bob's memory can be made to the Washington Humane Society.
