ROBERT F. EVERS  

Robert "Bob" Farrell Evers, 67, passed away February 3, 2014 at Fairfax Hospital surrounded by his family. Bob was born April 22, 1946 to Bob and Pat (Evers) in Corpus Christi, Texas. Bob was the oldest of 3 children. He graduated from W.B. Ray High School in 1964. He attended the University of Texas and Tulane University.
 
Bob served in the United States Navy during Vietnam as an avionics technician. He met his beautiful bride, Patricia Bayne Evers, in Patuxent River, Maryland and they married in 1969 at the Chapel at the Naval Air Station, Patuxent River, Maryland.
 
Bob had a long career in the automotive industry; he started at Landmark Honda as a salesman in 1984, next worked in sales at Peacock Buick for more than twenty years and finished his career at Moore Cadillac. During his tenure selling cars, Bob won several prestigious awards from General Motors. In his spare time, Bob was an avid golfer and enjoyed cultivating dozens of varieties of orchids in his greenhouse. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.
 
Bob is survived by his wife, Pat Evers;
son Robert (Sarah) Evers; daughter
Elizabeth (Chris) Brown; grandchildren,
Graham Evers, Ryan and Avelyn Brown; sister, Susan Evers; brother James Evers; cousins Ruthie Jones, Steve (Eileen) Carlson and many loving nieces and nephews. Bob was preceded in death by his parents.
 
Celebration of life services will be held on Sunday, February 9, 2014 at Fairfax Memorial Funeral Home, 9902 Braddock Road, Fairfax, Virginia 22032 from 12 p.m. until 2 p.m.
