ROY PERKINS Obituary
ROY FRANCIS PERKINS, JR. (Age 88)
Of Herndon VA, died Wednesday, August 10, 2016, surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Providence, RI on May 15, 1928. He graduated from Brown Preparatory School (1945), Tabor Academy (1946), Yale University (Bachelor''s degree, 1950) and obtained his law degree from Harvard University (1953). He served as an Army JAG Legal Corp. attorney in peacetime Germany after WWII, where he met his beloved wife, Erika Markowski. Following his military service, he was admitted into the DC Bar (1960) where he practiced communications law. He was predeceased by his adopted son, Theodore A.R. Perkins. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Erika Perkins, who he loved very much; his twin daughters, Diane Perkins (Victor Mederos) of Amissville, VA, their three children, Mark, Michael and Michelle and Desiree Perkins (William Lee Duvall) of Ruther Glen, VA, her two children, Alexis and Jonathan Sedgwick. He loved sailing, working on his cars and spending time with his family. Roy will be buried with his parents at Swan Point in Providence, RI.

There are many interesting people I would have liked to sit down and get to know better had I stayed in the USA. He is one of them. Alas there is a time for all of us to pass through those doors through which we must shed our earthly bodies. Perhaps in eternity I wil get to know him better. God knows. Until then God's peace, grace and comfort be with his wonderful wife Erica, daughters Desi and Diane (spouses and all the grandchildren, etc.)
