Geiger, Dale R.

Dale Geiger, 66, formerly from Wausau, passed away peacefully in his sleep at home in Las Vegas, Nev., on April 23, 2013, due to complications associated with ALS.

Dale was born in Wausau on June 29, 1946. He graduated from Wausau High School in 1964, and went on to graduate from the School of Engineering at the University of Wisconsin in Madison with a degree in nuclear engineering. He began his professional career working for Bechtel Corporation out of their San Francisco office. At the end of his career, he was working for Duke Engineering in Las Vegas until he was no longer physically able.

Dale was preceded in death by his father, Earl Geiger, and his mother, Mildred Geiger Hoffman.

He is survived by his wife, Terri; son, Christopher (Boise, Idaho); daughter, Angela, and grandson, Michael (Las Vegas). He is also survived by two brothers, Sheldon, and his wife Connie of Wausau, and Bruce and his wife, Trisha, of Madison.

A memorial service was held on May 4, 2013, at Holy Spirit Lutheran Church in Las Vegas. A graveside cremains committal service will be at 11 a.m. Aug. 16, 2013, at Restlawn Memorial Park, Wausau.
