Eugene E. Albrent, 85, Hatley, died Saturday, July 12, 2014 at Ministry Saint Clare's Hospital, Weston.
He was born on July 11, 1929 in Hatley, the son of the late Edward and Jeanette (Czech) Albrent.
Eugene was a U.S. Army Veteran.
On September 8, 1956, he was united in marriage to Lila Strehlow in the Town of Easton. She survives.
Eugene worked at Hatley Veneer for 20 years and the former J.I. Case for over 20 years. He was a member of Grace Lutheran Church, Ringle, the Hatley American Legion Post #471 and the Hatley Senior Citizens Club. Eugene served as the Village of Hatley Zoning Supervisor for many years. He was a handyman and enjoyed fixing things and helping others.
Survivors include his wife, Lila Albrent, Hatley; one son, Mark Albrent, Hatley; his sister, Irene (Elroy) Tiegs, Grafton; a brother, Myron (Helen Eron) Albrent, Hatley and sisters-in-law, Betty Krueger, Wausau and Beverly (Leo) Konkel, Montrose, CO. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In addition to his parents, Eugene was preceded in death by in-laws, Richard and Edna Strehlow, Shirley Albrent, Harvey and Rose Mary Prahl and Ellsworth Krueger.

The family would like the thank the Oncology Department at Marshfield Clinic that has taken care of Eugene for the last 13 years, with special thanks to Dr. R. Islam. Also, to all the other doctors and staff that took part in his journey, including, Dr. Al-Bacil and Dr. Rajesh. Also a very special thank you to Rev. Glenn Seefeldt of Grace Lutheran Church, Ringle for all of his prayers and visits.
