Herbert worked for Salvo Chemical and then Zimpro, Inc. until his retirement. He was a member of the Rothschild Fire Department for a period of time and also served as Rothschild Village Trustee. Herb enjoyed woodworking and visiting with family and friends. As he settled into retirement, he enjoyed running errands and chatting with employees of the local business establishments. He had a great sense of humor and was a long time Packer and Brewer fan. Herb and Mabel spent some of their retirement wintering in Leesburg, FL. Herb and Mabel also enjoyed the occasional trip to the casino and playing bingo.
