Drewek, Kenneth

Kenneth Drewek, 62, died in his sleep from an apparent heart attack Saturday, Feb. 23, 2013, at Landmark Apartments in Wausau.

He was born in Wausau to Michael and Loretta Drewek. He graduated from Newman High School in 1969 and was about to graduate from the University of Wisconsin-Madison when called back to help his mother. He worked at the Performing Arts Foundation and held various jobs in states including Hawaii before returning to Wausau to operate City to City Charter. He lost that business after family health problems and for several years was homeless with his two beloved dogs.

He would say "I m a fanatic about" writing and music, especially performing live.

He is survived by a son, Adam (Kim) Drewek, of Mosinee; a granddaughter, Ember; two brothers, Jim of Schofield, and Gerald of Jacksonville, FL; Adam's mother, Paula Schumann; and a circle of friends who cared about him.

Memorial Services are pending.
