Flannery, Maryclare Wergin

Maryclare Wergin

The evening of Friday, July 18 2014, at South Shore Hospital in Massachusetts, Maryclare Wergin Flannery passed away, ending an eight-year battle against breast cancer. However through the trials and hardships of illness, she always maintained above all, to be a wonderful and strong mother to her daughter Alexandra and son Sean.

Maryclare was born and raised in Wausau by her parents Gerald Paul Wergin, and Jean Evans Wergin. She was the beloved baby sister of her five siblings; Paul, Scott, John, and David Wergin, and sister Marcia Marek.

She was well traveled and educated as a graduate of Cornell University, and a student throughout life, studying in Germany, Italy, and more. She built many of her own successful businesses, such as Alpina Ventura, a travel agency. From there, she would work in real estate.

Though she was progressive and career driven, she could be revered most for the job she did best; being a mom. Maryclare was a truly beautiful human being, inside and out, and her love will remain in the hearts of many as present as ever. Her passing was early in a very full and exciting life, and now she joins her parents, warmly watching over their family.

Service will be held at Restlawn Memorial Park Friday the 8th at 2pm.
