Neuman, Melvin A.

Melvin A. Neuman, age 75, of Schofield, died Saturday, February 1, 2014 at his home.

Melvin was born on December 14, 1938 in Milwaukee. His parents were the late Frank and Mary (Napierala) Neuman. He was married in 1967 to the late Carol Constance (Connie) Sweeney Neuman.

Melvin is survived by his daughter Kathleen (David) Pollock of Cedarburg, WI; his grandson, Alexander; his sister, Ruth (Neuman) Frechette; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother, Gerald Neuman.

Melvin received his doctorate in Physical Chemistry at the University of Wisconsin - Madison and later taught chemistry at UW - Milwaukee and UW - Marathon County. He was an active parishioner and volunteer at St. John's Episcopal Church in Wausau.

Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, February 8, 2014 at St. John's Episcopal Church, 330 McClellan St., Wausau. The Rev. David Klutterman will officiate. Visitation will be held at the church from 10:00 am until the time of service.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. John's Episcopal Church.
