Sandra Schulrud

Sandra Schulrud, 66, of the town of Stettin passed away on Monday, July 28, 2014 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital.

Sandy was born in Chippewa Falls on August 25, 1947 to the late Raleigh and Florence (Mitchell) Ewings. She was a 1965 graduate of Cornell High School and 1970 graduate of Martin Luther College, New Ulm, MN with a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education. She taught typing at Martin Luther Prep School and was an elementary school teacher in Waukegan, Ill and Manitowoc. On November 2, 1972, Sandy married Roger Schulrud in Waukegan. After moving to Wausau, Sandy worked as a customer service representative for River Valley Bank both in Rothschild and Wausau. She was an active member at Our Savior's Lutheran Church and president-elect and past secretary of Lutheran Women's Missionary Society. Some of her hobbies included solving crossword puzzles, singing, reading and traveling with Roger and their family.

Survivors include her husband Roger of the town of Stettin, her daughter, Dawn and son, John both of Wausau, three step-children, Kevin (Sarah) Schulrud of Union, WV, Todd Schulrud of Sweet Springs, WV, Kimberly (Doug) Grossmann of Coronado, CA, seven step grandchildren, seven step great grandchildren, five brothers, Stanley (Charlie Sue) Ewings of Cornell, Keith (Joan) Ewings of Bloomer, Bruce (Diane) Ewings of Gillman, Rev. Jerry (Lori) Ewings of DeForest, Brian (Kelly) Ewings of Lakeville, MN and many nieces and nephews. She was further preceded in death by her twin sister, Susan.

Memorial services will be 1:30 p.m., Thursday, July 31, 2014 at Our Savior's Ev. Lutheran Church, 703 Fleith St., Wausau. Reverend Robert Edwards will officiate. Visitation will be at the church on Thursday from 11:30 a.m. until the time of services. You may sign our family guest book at helke.com.
