Strehlow, Thomas Bernard

Thomas B. Strehlow, born on Nov 18, 1931, in Wausau, son of Otto and Eleanor (Scholz) Strehlow. entered into eternal rest on the evening of Sept 16, 2013, in San Jose, Calif., where he had been a long-time resident. He was united in marriage to Mary Rose on June 6, 1964, in Reno, Nev, and together they raised their six children in San Jose.

Tom is survived by his wife, Mary Rose; their five children, John, Diane (Chat), Tammy (Kurt), and Teri of California and Tommy (Lynn) of Wisconsin; 21 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Anita Warnke, Rosemary Roubinek, both of Wausau; and Jane (Vince) Ala, of Washington; and two brothers, Gerald of Wausau; and David (Darlene) Strehlow, Marinette; sisters-in-law, Esther Strehlow, Wausau; Sue Strehlow, Schofield; and Beverly Strehlow, Bradenton, Fla.

He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Gary; brothers, Herbert, Eugene, Ray and Joseph; sister-in-law, Joyce Strehlow; brothers-in-law, James Roubinek, Walter Warnke; and nephew, Andrew Strehlow. Tom served in the Army during the Korean War. Rev. Pastor Bork will be officiating at a memorial service in San Jose at a later date. Tom's smile along with his great sense of humor will always remain in his family's hearts and memories.
