William "Bill" C. Keller, 83, of Beloit, WI, died Thursday, May 23, 2013, in the Beloit Memorial Hospital.
Bill was born February 24, 1930 in Janesville, WI, the son of LeRoy and Mary (Gilbert) Keller. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force. Bill married Ruby Hughes in 1949 in Rome, GA. She predeceased him on April 7, 1972. He later married Hazel Hensel on May 18, 1974 in Orfordville, WI. She predeceased him on January 22, 2011.
Bill was formerly employed by the Beloit Corporation as a Mechanic for 35 years, retiring in 1990. He enjoyed traveling in his motor home, relaxing at the casino, bowling, camping, and wintering in Texas for many years.
Survivors include his nine children, Gary (Sue) Janes, Nancy (David) Rudnitzki both of Janesville, WI; Laurie (John) Hemker of Lawrence, KS; James "Billy" (Vicky) Keller of Sheldon, WI; Jess Keller of Hortonville, WI; Jeff "Scotty" (Stacy Rask) Keller, Joe (Chris) Keller, Jay Keller all of Wausau, WI; and Jarred (Jackie Sieber) Keller of Janesville, WI; 21 grandchildren, Chad, Heather, Angela, Matthew, Jeremy, Jesse, Amy, Joseph, Olivia, Adam, Chole, Shelly, Aric, Seth, Kelly, Adrienne, Anna, Katie, Joe, Justin, and Jasmine ; 37 great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild.
He was predeceased by his parents, sister, Lois Keitch, and infant brother.
The family would like to give a special thank you to Pioneer Court, the Beloit Memorial Hospital ER and Critical Care Unit for their care to Bill.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 28, 2013, in the Daley Murphy Wisch & Associates Funeral Home and Crematorium, 2355 Cranston Road, Beloit, WI, with Pastor Todd McVey officiating. Burial will be in Floral Lawns Memorial Gardens, South Beloit, IL. Visitation will be Tuesday from 12:30 p.m. until the time of service in the funeral home.
