Larry "Tom" Porter, 70, of 301 N. 28th St., died at 4:10 a.m. Saturday, March 22, 2014, in Sunset Home. Tom was born Sept. 3, 1943, in Lima, a son of Thomas and Marie Kemp Porter. He married Bobbi Lou Kern on Feb. 7, 1982, in Las Vegas, Nev. She survives. Tom was a member of St. John's Anglican Parish at Seventh and Hampshire, the Elks Lodge 100, the National Rifle Association and Ducks Unlimited. Tom owned and operated Porter Concrete Construction Co. for 35 years. He lived to hunt and fish, and he loved spending winters in Naples, Fla. He retired in 2000 and helped care for his in-laws for many years. Survivors include his wife, Bobbi Lou Porter, of Quincy; a daughter, Kelly (Bill) Wingerter of Perryville, Mo.; three granddaughters, Ashlee, Brittany and Madison Wingerter, all of Perryville; and three sisters, Betty Johnson, Mary Roe and Rose Neustadt. He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Lewis, Richard and Robert Porter; and two sisters, Joyce Lohmeyer and Kate Seals.
