HANNIBAL, Mo. -- Lyndle "Lyndy" D. Hull, 85, of Hannibal, died at 4:15 a.m. Monday (Feb. 24, 2014) in his home.

He was born April 11, 1928, in Plainville, the son of Raymond and Nellie Allensworth Hull. He married Lois Degen on Sept. 4, 1953, in Oakville, Iowa. She survives.

Mr. Hull was a U.S. Army veteran, serving his country during the Korean War. He previously worked as an expediter at Motorola and later was a farmer. He liked attending basketball games and hunting mushrooms. He also enjoyed farming, reading and remodeling. Mr. Hull loved spending time with his grandson and great-grandchildren. In his younger years, he liked to go hunting and trap shooting. He was an active member of First Baptist Church, Plainville.

In addition to his wife, survivors include two sons, Marty Hull Sr. (Jerilyn) of Hannibal and Robert Lance Hull of Grand Prairie, Texas; two sisters, Maxine Lawrence (Jack) of Wichita, Kan., and Neoma Keene of Salem, Ore.; a grandson, Marty Hull Jr. (Audra); two step-grandchildren, Jeff and John Bergthold; three great-grandchildren, Allie, Mason and McKenna Hull; five step-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Mr. Hull was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Kevin Hull; a sister, Bonnie McCallster; and several aunts and uncles.

SERVICES: 2 p.m. Thursday in the James O'Donnell Funeral Home, Hannibal. Burial will be in G. Stewart Cemetery, Plainville.

VISITATION: From 1 p.m. until time of services Thursday in the funeral home.

MEMORIALS: First Baptist Church of Plainville or G. Stewart Cemetery in care of the funeral home.
