William Frank Hrudicka Obituary
William Frank Hrudicka, 73, of 918 Lind, Quincy, died on Tuesday (Dec. 24, 2013) in his home.

He was born on July 21, 1940, in Quincy, a son of Robert Bernard and Rosella McGartland Hrudicka.

William served in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War.

Bill had been an accountant. He also was a self-employed bartender and restaurateur in the St. Louis area for many years. Formerly, he worked for McGraw-Hill Publishing Co.

He was of the Catholic faith. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, the Elks and the Adams County Historical Society. He also was an election judge in Adams County. He was a Boy Scouts volunteer and had served as Scoutmaster. Bill also was active in the Quincy Community Little Theatre.

On Sept. 26, 2013, Bill was able to fulfill a personal dream by participating in the Honor Flight that day.

Survivors include his children, Carol Wuesthoff of Doniphan, Mo., Mark W. Hrudicka and his wife, Myra, of Cadiz, Ky., Robert A. Hrudicka and his wife, Marika, of Jidda, Saudi Arabia, Daniel Hrudicka and his wife, Angie, of Mattoon, and Joan White and her husband, Hillie, of Neoga; and a sister, Sally Adams of Quincy. Numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, James Hrudicka; and a sister, Norma Marold.

SERVICES: 10 a.m. Friday in St. Francis Catholic Church. Interment will be in Sunset Cemetery at the Illinois Veterans Home with military rites at the cemetery.

VISITATION: 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday in the Duker and Haugh Funeral Home.

MEMORIALS: St. Francis Catholic Church or Blessing Foundation for Hospice.
