Judith OConnor, of Braintree, 76 years of age, passed away at Brigham and Womens Hospital, Boston on Monday, June 23, 2014. She was born in Quincy and had resided in Braintree for most of her life and in Rockland for 20 years. In her earlier years, she was employed by the United Shoe Machinery Company in Boston as a bookkeeper. She enjoyed country dancing. She especially enjoyed her family and friends. She was the beloved wife of the late Daniel Eugene OConnor. She was the devoted mother of Kevin C. OConnor, PhD who is a Professor of Neurology at Yale University in New Haven, Conn. and his fiance Ana Gurley of New York City. She was also the mother of the late Kelly Ann OConnor formerly of Rockland. Judith was the sister of the late James Woodbury. She was the step-grandmother of Charlotte Gurley and Eliza Gurley both of Greenwich, Conn. She was the aunt of Kim Woodbury, and Mark and James Woodbury all of Weymouth. She is also survived by two cousins Polly Woodward and Cynthia Bates both of Brookline. She was the daughter of the late Charles Selden Woodbury and the late Mary Mae Livingston Woodbury. Visiting hours was at the Mortimer N. Peck-Russell Peck Funeral Home, 516 Washington Street, Braintree, on Thursday, June 26, from 4 - 8 p.m. A funeral service was held on Friday, June 27 at 2:30 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be at Mt. Wollaston Cemetery, Quincy. Memorial donations may be sent to the Leukemia Society, 9 Erie Dr., Natick, MA 01760.
