William B. Tangherlini Obituary
William Busta Tang Tangherlini, age 66, formerly of Braintree, passed away peacefully, Wednesday, July 9, 2014, at home, after a lengthy illness, surrounded by his loving family. William was born in Brookline, raised and educated in Quincy and Braintree schools and was a graduate of Braintree High School, Class of 1967. He has lived in Abington for seven years, previously in Braintree for most of his life. He was a Vietnam War veteran having served in the U.S. Army with the 101st Airborne Division. William was employed in maintenance with the Braintree School Department for several years and later worked at the George F. Bryan VFW Post #613 in Quincy for many years. He had a huge affection for animals, a Doctor Doolittle he was! He also loved to play the guitar and had quite a following as an Elvis impersonator. He was devoted to his family and friends. Beloved husband of Bonnie J. (Alchorn) Tangherlini. Devoted father of Seth A. Tangherlini and his wife Alison of Holbrook, Wendy Tocci of Kingston, N.Y., Brent Tocci and his wife Mary of Abington. Loving PA of Brenna, Ethan and Cameron Tocci and McKenna Tangherlini. One of eleven siblings, Bill was brother to Armando Tangherlini of Rockland, Dorothy Tangherlini and Candice Marchant both of Weymouth and pre-deceased by Jean Eccles, June Harris, Paul, James, Richard, Joseph and Vincent Tangherlini. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Funeral Services was conducted at the Sweeney Brothers Home for Funerals, 1 Independence Avenue, Quincy, Tuesday, July 15, at 11 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visiting hours was at the funeral home Monday, July 14, from 4 | 8 p.m. Interment with military Honors at Mount Wollaston Cemetery, Quincy.
