Margaret Kirby Jungers passed away April 10, 2012, at the Harbourwood Health and Rehabilitation Center in Clearwater, FL. Mrs. Jungers was born March 15, 1918, in Derby, Connecticut, the son of Edward and Mary Savage Kirby. Following her studies at Albertus Magnus College, Margaret worked at the County Court House in New Haven, Connecticut. While in New Haven, she met an Army Air Force student at Yale University, Joseph W. Jungers of Regent, North Dakota. They married on Dec. 27, 1943. After her husband's service in the Army Air Force during World War II, they moved to the Greater Boston area, eventually settling in Concord, Massachusetts, where they lived for 58 years. In addition to caring for her family and her home, Margaret enjoyed painting, cooking, playing cards, dancing, playing golf at the Concord Country Club and happy hour with her friends and family. She was a member of the Holy Family Catholic Church of Concord, Massachusetts. She is survived by her daughter Margaret Mary (Meg) Jungers Petersen and her husband, Tom, of Clearwater, FL, her sons, Joseph W. Jungers, Jr. of Chelmsford, MA, and Mark Kirby Jungers and his wife, Lori, of Tampa, FL, and four grandchildren, Hannah Jungers Petersen and Thomas E. (TJ) Petersen, Jr. of Clearwater, FL, and Jennifer Anne Rodebush and her husband Wes, and Nicholas Kirby Jungers of Tampa, FL. She is also survived by her sister, Joan Kirby of Derby, CT Margaret's ashes will be placed with her husband Joe's, at the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne, Massachusetts.
